JOB SUMMARY The primary responsibilities for this role will be assisting the medical provider by performing all aspects of medical assisting, patient education, patient monitoring, third party payer authorization and coordination, along with appointment scheduling. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Currently enrolled in a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assisting program, or CNA program, or equivalents, with expected completion within 180 days of employment. Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assisting program, or CNA program, or equivalents preferred. Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in a health care setting (preferably medical office/outpatient) required. Two (2) to five (5) years preferred. Licensure, Certification, Registration: Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or similar credentialing body, OR State of CT DPH CNA, required within 180 days of employment. BLS certification required or completion within 3 months of employment. We take great care of careers.
