Job Summary:

Assist the Portfolio Management Group (PMG) team in managing and expanding on new and existing (PMG) trust relationships. Offers investment management, trust and other (PMG) services, based on the needs of the client. Works within a team environment in supporting the discretionary investment management of those relationships and plays an integral role to the team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of client relationships under the direction of Senior Portfolio Managers.

  • Assists Trust Administrators & Portfolio Managers in managing client relationships and client retention.

  • Conducts Investment research and analysis around all aspects of the investment offering utilizing various resources.

  • Supports the implementation of a holistic investment strategy in conjunction with the PMG team.

  • Prepares performance reports & investment reviews.

  • Works closely with the prospective client’s advisors, including attorneys, CPA’s, insurance professionals and others as needed.

  • Is an integral member of the RJT investment department and takes on other duties from time to time to assist with projects and tasks related to the trust company’s investment offering.

  • Participation on RJT committees or sub-committees may be required.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Software necessary for portfolio analysis including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Trust accounting software as well as analytics used in the industry.

  • Investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the industry.

  • Principles of estate planning, trusts and securities industry operations.

  • Financial markets and products.

Skill in:

  • Effectively managing client relationships.

  • Strategic planning as part of client retention focus.

  • Gathering and compiling information and data.

  • Preparing and delivering written and oral presentations.

  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.

Ability to:

  • Complete job duties independently, with little supervision.

  • Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

  • Provide a high level of service

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all organizational levels.

  • Participate in professional organizations and activities.

  • Maintain currency in industry services and products.

  • Manage multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet deadlines and goals in a fast paced environment.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in related field from a four-year college or university with three (3) to five (5) years in financial services environment in investment related activities.

or

  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training approved by Human Resources.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Series 7 preferred.

Anticipation of earning licenses or designations may be required as needed.
