Job Description:

Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons is currently seeking a (Level 2 or Level 3) Hardware Test Engineer to work on site in Ridgecrest, CA supporting our ARRGM program . Role Description:

Test and troubleshooting at the system level and lower-level assemblies. This role will include working with operations to coordinate testing efforts to evaluate failures of product for a quick turnaround. This candidate will be one of a few engineers that work in Ridgecrest. They will be a POC for any activities that need to be coordinated with engineers in different locations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Communicate between different members of the team to move product and get past any obstacles and move through the process

  • Improve processes where holes are found

  • Using different applications to help perform analysis of failures, i.e Matlab, excel, etc.

  • Perform tests by following ATPs or technical memos, or by using them as a guide to modify tests for the specific need of failure.

  • Work across different functions to get tasks done and buyoff for customer approval of new designs.

  • Leverage Schematics to troubleshoot system failures

  • Keep up to date on calibration dates to ensure the STE is up to standard

  • Help maintain the stations

Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline and 2 years of experience, MS Degree with 0 years, or a High School Diploma with 6 minimum years of experience in equivalent field

  • Experience in either systems, electrical, or hardware testing procedures and the ability to understand different applications

  • Experience with using different test equipment, i.e. oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, DMM, signal generator

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent discipline and 5 years of experience, MS Degree with 3 years, or a High School Diploma with 9 years of experience in equivalent field

  • Experience in either systems, electrical, or hardware testing procedures and the ability to understand different applications

  • Experience with using different test equipment, i.e. (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, DMM, signal generator)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in Electrical or Hardware testing

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Current Secret Clearance

Salary Range: $79,300 - $118,900

Salary Range 2: $97,500 - $146,300

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
