Description

Title: Medical Practice Patient Representative (Clerical Assistant) - NHMP Danbury Hospital Medicine. Per Diem, Every Saturday & Sunday, 8 hour shifts, 6:00am - 2:00pm along with half of the network holidays.

Summary: Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for physician practice.

Responsibilities:

1. Creation of daily patient assignment list and distribution to providers, patient care floors, case management, and administration.

2. Answers phones, routes calls, take messages, conveys information, and assures accurate communication.

3. Processes billing reconciliation, charging and recording.

4. Notification of Primary Care Physician of Admissions and Discharges of patients.

5. Presents a professional appearance and image.

6. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

7. Performs other duties as assigned.

Other Information:

Required: High School Diploma/GED. Medical office experience, Electronic Medical Record experience, and knowledge of medical terminology.

Per Diem Pay Rate: $22.58 hourly
